Happy 2008!
Turns out on this side of the holidays, my fast approaching life changes seem much more real. Fortunately, I had a wonderful moment of clarity while on the elliptical machine yesterday (odd place, I know): I am SOOO EXCITED about finally moving and taking on London. I don't think I've truly felt this way until just now. Before, it all seemed a distant future plan, some scary notion I decided to indulge, and frankly like it would never happen. But as I watched CNN at the gym and all the images of ringing in the new year around the world, I realized that I would get to travel to all of these places and I can't wait.
Unfortunately, I had a little mix up involving my blue card, transcript, and an unpaid library fine so I have to push back my departure date to the first of February. Kind of ironic really. Just when I feel ready to go, I have to wait longer. Oh well...God definately knows what he's doing so I'm pretty sure it is for the best. So here's to a new year, new adventures, and old friends and family! Happy New Year!!!
